Christy Clark Craver, age 46, spent most of the week like any other. She used every ounce of energy she had loving her family and friends with kindness and humor. On Friday, May 16, 2014, the Lord decided it was time Christy rested, and He brought her home. During her almost four year battle with cancer, Christy's life continually testified to the truth of God's word and the promises He made to His children. She was met in heaven by her father, Charles H. Clark, III and her mother, Christyne Coleman Clark. Christy is survived by her husband, Barton Craver; daughter, Shannon Craver; sons, Mitchell and Kevin Craver all of Murfreesboro, TN; brother, Chuck Clark, and his wife Melissa, of Milton, TN; sisters, Cindy Clark Selby, and her husband Henry, of Morristown, TN, and Catherine Clark Higgins, and her husband Bobby, of Lawrenceville, GA; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at New Vision Baptist Church, with Pastor Brady Cooper and Phillip Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Vision Baptist Church, 1750 North Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, and Tuesday, from 1:00 PM until time of service. Christy was a member of New Vision Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation in memory of Christy.
