Christopher "Chris" Dwayne Stafford

Mr. Christopher “Chris” Dwayne Stafford, age 53, of Smyrna, TN, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2026. He was born on October 2, 1972, in Gainesboro, TN, to Sally Stafford and the late Sammy Stafford. He is also preceded in death by his great-nephew, Otto Wayne Moody.

Christopher will be remembered for his huge heart, big hugs and kisses, and willingness to help anyone. He was a wonderful man.

Chris is survived by his loving mother, Sally Stafford; brother, Wayne Stafford and his wife Shannon; niece and nephew, Kayla (Tyler) Moody and Steven Stafford, and great-niece and nephew, Reagan, and Ryelo Moody and Isaac Stafford.

He is also survived by his girlfriend Carrie Finch and her three daughters, Michala, Lacy, and Natalie, and two grandchildren, Annalise and Jason Rento.

Chris loved fishing, knife collecting, and 80’s music such as Motley Crue, Kiss, and Gun’s and Roses.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna.
