Christine Baird Huddleston, age 83, of Murfreesboro died April 19, 2016 at Community Care of Rutherford County. Mrs. Huddleston was a native of Lascassas and daughter of the late Leland and Irene Baskin Baird. She was also preceded in death by her husband Clyde W. Huddleston who died in 2004; a son, C.B. Huddleston; four brothers, Robert "Possum" Baird, Garry Baird, Dudley Baird, and Charles Baird; and one sister, Elizabeth Baird.

Mrs. Huddleston is survived by son, Tony Huddleston; daughter, Susan Sprague; granddaughter, Bethany Sprague; and special friend, David Wells all of Murfreesboro.

Graveside services will be 1:00pm Saturday at Republican Grove Cemetery. David Edwards will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pall bearers. Visitation will be from 3:00pm until 7:00pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Huddleston was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. She was credit manager for several Murfreesboro businesses, former commissioner of Rutherford County, and was the retired director of Room in the Inn of Rutherford County. Mrs. Huddleston was former co-owner with her son, C.B., of Murfreesboro Flower Shop and Huddleston Antiques.
