Charlie Joe Elliott, age 70, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Sara Elliott; brothers, Claude Elliott, Cecil "Jim" Elliott; and sister, Elizabeth Buff.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen Lewis Elliott; son, William Chad Elliott and his wife Lora; five grandchildren; brother, David Elliott and his wife Nelly; wonderful sisters in law and brothers in law; and many other family and friends.

Charlie was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Belvedire First Baptist Church. Charlie worked for Bridgestone for 32 years as a production manager and supervisor and also spent 7 years with Pillsbury. He was the star basketball player in school and his love for sports continued into his adulthood. Above all Charlie loved his family and enjoyed playing jokes on them every chance he could.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Friday, May 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Brother Scott Jones officiating. Burial following at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Cousins and best friends will be honorary pallbearers.

Memorial donations in Charlie's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
