Charles
Tune
May 9, 1936 – September 2, 2022
Charles Ralph Tune, age 86 passed away peacefully in his home in Sarasota, Florida on September 2, 2022. He was born in Cincinnati, OH on May 9, 1936 to his parents, John and Bessie Tune.
Charles served in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He worked for TRW Systems in California as a printer. He moved back to Tennessee where he was raised, to be closer to family and opened his own Janitorial business so his son could work with him. He had a very strong work ethic and took pride in working extremely hard to provide for his family.
Charles loved the constitution, his country and freedom. His hobbies were survival, leather crafts and guns. He loved his family and his Heavenly Father more than could be expressed in words. He loved helping people work through life's many choices and paths that were taken. He made it his mission in life to become kind and help as many people as he could, from strangers to loved ones. He was super strong about anything and everything that came his way, whether good or bad and always chose unconditional love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Tune and Bessie Marshall Tune, the most cherished loved woman in the world, his wife Patricia Ann Tune, his first- born precious daughter, Vicki Lynn Tune, his beautiful grandchildren Natalie Melissa Lopez and Zachary Craig Faulkner. His strong brothers, James and Johnny Tune and his caring sisters Juanita Lineberger and Dorthy Jean Tune.
He is survived by so many who loved him: His former wife, Betty Yvonne Donaldson. His children, Dian Tune, Shari Johnson, David Tune, Rachel Anderson Williams, Sarah Bailey, Ruth Biehusen, and Elizabeth Tune Leis. His fifteen grandchildren: Rachel, Reyna, Annie, Jon, Travis, Derek, Taylor, Emily, Justin, Josh, Jake, Nate, Walker, Kye and Susy. His sixteen great grandchildren: Matthew, Serenity, Shooter, Scarlett, Natalie, Zacii, Kinlee, Zachary, Dakota, Tatum Jaynes, Slade, Gavan, Zachary, Nevaeh, Neakail, Lily, and Sofi. He was loved by so many of his dear friends as they were his family too.
His Caregivers on his final days were the best to him and he was the best to them: Special thanks to our friends Darcy, she loved her Pop Pop, Carrie and Isabelle.
Charles will be remembered with a small family and close friends gathering on September 10, 2022 from 11:30 to 1:00 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna immediately followed by a small family and close friends graveside service at Mapleview Cemetery, 411 Maple Street, Smyrna Tn 37167. www.woodfinchapel.com
