CHARLES FRANKLIN TRAVIS, JR. Frank age 65 of Murfreesboro died Monday May 18, 2009. He was a native of Nashville and a retired High School English Teacher and Baskeball Coach. He taught at Cumberland, Pearl, Hume-Fogg and Hillwood High Schools; In 2008 Frank was inducted into the Region 6 AAA Coaches Association. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Virginia S. Travis Jenny ; son and daughter-in-law, Charles Franklin Travis, III (Chas) and his wife, Havala Travis; grandsons, Charles Franklin Travis IV (Charlie) and Daniel Brandston Travis all of Murfreesboro; father, Charles Franklin Travis, Sr. of Smyrna; sisters, Tanya Brindley of Smyrna, Theresa Bass of Bellevue. He was preceded in death by his mother, June Oliver Travis. Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Travis to the Monroe Harding Childrens Home or to any local library.
