Charles Joseph
"Tommy" Thomason, Jr
January 9, 1957 – June 26, 2017
Charles Joseph "Tommy" Thomason, Jr. age 60 of Murfreesboro died Monday June 26, 2017. He was native of Milan TN and was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Joseph Thomason, Sr. and Shirley Ann King Thomason, also a brother, Michael Thomason. Mr. Thomason attended Murfreesboro First Methodist Church and had worked for Food Lion Grocery Stores throughout Middle Tennessee, and currently at Spring Hill. He was known as "Big Daddy" by his grandchildren and co-workers.
Mr. Thomason is survived by his wife, Annette Thomason; children, Allison Dean Brown and husband Jon of Murfreesboro, Charles Joseph "C.J." Thomason, III of Murfreesboro; Elizabeth "Beth": Thomason Stewart and husband Josh of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Lilly Ann Brown, Jay Brown, Kylar Stewart, and Iris Stewart.
"Big Daddy" loved fun, and he had fun loving others. He embraced all life's treasures unconditionally and intensely, and he sought to make each day special for those in his life. Whether his child, his sibling, his grandchild, a coworker in need, Tommy found a way to bring love and adventure to them. Be it fishing, reliving his days as star quarterback in the back yard, sharing his passion for wildlife with family or any passer-by, he did it because of his unique brand of love.
He truly embraced the magic of life and sought to make those he loved see that magic every day. His family and friends will miss his physical presence dearly, but his spirit will be here for all of us through every thunderstorm, every rainbow, and every opportunity for transformation of ordinary life into lasting memories.
