Charles W. Tomlin, age 71, died at home after an extended illness on November 27, 2009. A native of Bethesda, Tn. C.W. was born February 8, 1938 to the late Alva Lee and Laura Crafton Tomlin. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 10:00 A.M. in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with a Memorial Service following at the South End United Methodist Church located at 5042 Edmondson Pike, Nashville, Tn. at 11:00 A.M. Mr. Tomlin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lee Miller Tomlin, children; Valerie Shea, Kerry Charles, and Savannah Carole, grandchild; Landon Charles, sisters; Catherine and Linda, and granddogs; Armstrong and Georgia. Mr. Tomlin was a graduate of Hume Fogg Tech and retired from Baird Ward Printing Company after 43 years. Mr. Tomlin was known for his love for his family, Chevrolets, Union Hill Drag Racing, his tractor, the Almaville Market and banana pudding. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the South End United Methodist Church.
