CHARLES WILLARD RICHARDSON age 86, of Lascassas, TN, former Road Superintendent with the Rutherford County Highway Department for eight years, died Monday November 8, 2010. A native of Jackson County, TN he was the son of the late Walter and Rosie Lee Scantland Richardson. Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marie Hood Richardson; brothers, Robert Richardson of Walter Hill, James and Loyd Richardson both of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Willene Stone and Dimple Richardson both of Murfreesboro, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother James Lively and Ralph Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Richardson was a member of the Sharpesville Church of Christ, the Walter Hill Country Club, and a charter member along with his wife, of the Lascassas-Milton Lions Club. He was a graduate of Walter Hill High School and attended MTSU. Mr. Richardson was a U.S. Army veteran and was in the road construction business for over 40 years. Pallbearers will be Lee Hicks, Darrel Smith, Joe Simms, Glendon Richardson, Robert and W. T. Evans. Nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
