CHARLES IRBY MASON, age 81, of LaVergne, died Thursday, December 03, 2009 at his home. He was a native of Rutherford County and son of the late Jesse J. and Melba Traylor Mason. Mr. Mason was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Miller Mason who died in 1993. Funeral service will be at 11:00am Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Mason is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Melinda and Tim Smith of LaVergne, Marla and Larry Pitts of Leanna, two sisters, Velma Cunningham of Smyrna, and Lena Belle Pardue of LaVergne, three grandchildren, Sondra Bruninga, Dakota and Nikita Smith, one great grandson, Jay Bruninga. Mr. Mason served in the US Army and was retired from Aladdin Industries. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
