Charles Kenneth Leonard Sr., age 85, of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013. A native of Rutherford County he was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Annie Baird Leonard. Mr. Leonard is survived by his loving wife, Melba Hewitt Leonard; two sons, Randy Leonard and his wife Cindy of Manchester, TN and Kenneth Leonard Jr. and his wife Tricia of Lascassas, TN; two daughters, Diane Church and her husband Jerry of Readyville, TN and Janie Adkison and her husband Clyde of Murfreesboro; two brothers, Richard Leonard of Murfreesboro and Hoyte Leonard of Alcoa, TN; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Brother David Humphrey and Brother Jimmy Hughes will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Leonard was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Lascassas High School. Mr. Leonard was employed by Singer Co. for 28 years and was the retired owner of Murfreesboro Vacuum and Sewing Center. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed. Kenneth Leonard Jr., Randall Leonard, Clyde Adkison, Lance Leonard, James Leonard and Darrell Humphrey will serve as active pallbearers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
