Charles Lamon, age 79 of LaVergne, died Monday at Stonecrest Medical Center. He was born in Decatur, Alabama and was the son of the late Benjamin Boyd Lamon and Dessie Lamon Corum. He was also preceded by his daughter Edna Higgins. Mr. Lamon is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ann Lamon; sons, Michael Lamon and Terry Lamon both of LaVergne; a daughter Diane Nolan and her husband Paul of Clarksville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends. Mr. Lamon attended Smyrna Nazarene Church and had worked at Alvin's Auto Supply in Nashville and later retired from Crocker Auto Supply in LaVergne. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00pm Thursday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be 11:00am Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Reverend Paul W. Nolan officiating.
