Charles Frederick Jacobus, age 90, of Smyrna died Sunday at NHC. He was a native of Memphis and a son of the late Otha Charles "Jack" and Jewell Mae Price Jacobus. In addition to his parents he was preceded by a son Harold Dewayne Jacobus. Mr. Jacobus is survived by his wife Zamah Cookston Jacobus; daughters Joye Young and her husband Steve of Florida and Glenda Beard and her husband Johnny of Memphis; a son Charles F. Jacobus, Jr. and his wife Lyn of Charlotte, NC; a sister Constance Naomi Vulcano of Florida; a daughter in law Gail Jacobus of Watertown; grandchildren Adam Barker, Micah Williams, Seth Barker, Brian Nabors, Barrett Beard, Caroline Jacobus, and Carson Jacobus; two great grandchildren Caroline Williams, Addison Barker. Mr. Jacobus was a member of Smyrna Church of Christ and a United States Navy Veteran. He retired as the chief chef from Opryland USA Theme Park. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 until 7:00pm at Smyrna Church of Christ. Funeral services will be 10:00am Thursday at Smyrna Church of Christ with Bro. Tim Lavender officiating.
