Mr. Charles Dobbs, age 68, of Smyrna, TN passed away Friday, August 4, 2017. He was born in Beaufort, SC to the late Charles Alvie and Willa Dean McDonald Dobbs. Mr. Dobbs proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 10 years before going in to law enforcement. He and his wife were over the road truck drivers for several years before he worked for the Town of Smyrna as a network administrator.

Mr. Dobbs is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sherri Dobbs; siblings, Mary Cook of Fayette, AL, Donna Johnson and her husband Raymond of Double Springs, AL, Brenda Rushing and her husband Danny of Jasper, AL, and Ivan L. Dobbs of Fayette, AL; brother-in-law, Gary Manasco of Double Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Shantelle Dobbs and Matthew Dobbs, and a sister, Julia Dean Dobbs Manasco.

Visitation with the family will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 5:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will take place at Philadelphia United Methodist Church Cemetery in Heidelberg, MS at a later date.
