Obituary

Charles Stanley Blosch, 78, of Smyrna, TN, entered God's Kingdom on Tuesday, May 12, 2015. He was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and was the son of the late Albert V. Blosch and the late Elva Houser Blosch. He was also preceded in death by his sister Christine Blosch. He is survived by his wife Sandra Stringer Blosch, daughters Bryna E. Blosch and Kali Blosch Mogul, his sisters Grace Blosch (Ft. Lauderdale), Linda Blosch deDon (Ft. Lauderdale), Juanita Blosch Algee Wilson (Orlando), his grandson Tanner Mogul, and a large extended family including nieces and nephews. Blosch was a music educator, receiving his Bachelor's degree from Florida State University and Master's Degree from Florida Atlantic University. He went on to earn a doctorate degree in Education Administration and Supervision in 1985 from Florida Atlantic. Prior to earning his graduate degrees, Blosch attended Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, TX and also served in the U.S. National Guard. His career spanned more than 30 years, teaching full time as a band and vocal music director in public schools and as a church choir director. Even after his official retirement in 1996, he volunteered with local high school band and vocal music programs. Dr. Blosch can best be described as a humble servant and follower of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a devoted husband and father, selfless teacher, leader, mentor and friend. His exemplary faith in the Lord and extraordinary love of music inspired those around him throughout his life. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org in memory of Charles Stanley Blosch.
