Charlene P. King , age 83 of Christiana, TN, passed away Tuesday May 3, 2016. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late William Hobert and Myrtle Evelyn Williams Parsley. Mrs. King was also preceded in death by her husband, Clem J. "Pete" King, her sons, William Earl and Johnnie King, and by a brother, William Owen Parsley.

Mrs. King is survived by her daughters, Debbie Pitts, Joyce Davis, Evelyn Dority and her husband Billy all of Murfreesboro, TN, Donna King Baum of Christiana, TN, and Dawn Mendl and her husband Doug of Lewisburg, TN; sister, Evelyn Carol Parsley of Murfreesboro, TN; daughter-in-law, Mary Jo King of Smyrna, TN; 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Whitworth Cemetery with the grandchildren serving as pallbearers.

Mrs. King was a member of Bellwood Baptist Church and was retired form Better Bilt in Smyrna.
