Cathy Lynn Sargent, age 58 of Lavergne, died Wednesdy, June 22, 2016 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was a native of Denver, Colorado and a daughter of the late Richard and Betty Miller Norris.

Survivors include four sons, Jimmy Clemons of LaVergne, Roger Clemons of Smyrna, Richie Stuard and wife Liz of Smyrna, and Shaun Stuard of LaVergne; two granddaughters, Sydney Stuard of Beechgrove, and Avannah Stuard of Smyrna; a sister, Brenda Maggart of LaVergne; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Ms. Sargent had owned the LaVergne Discount Foods Store.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with burial following in Mapleview Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
