Mrs. Catherine Andrew Tippin, age 98, of Smyrna, TN passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at Community Care of Rutherford County. Mrs. Tippin was born and raised in Chang Chung, China. She was married to the late Lyle M. Tippin whom she met while he was stationed in China during World War II.

She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Dale Warren Tippin, and a grandson, Stephean Christopher Tippin.

She is survived by her son Arch Charles "Chuck" Tippin and his wife Suzanne; grandson, Charles Scott Tippin and his wife Chrissy; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Shane, and Chelsea. She is also survived by her step-grandchildren, Robert Thompson and Charles Stewart; and step-great-grandchildren, Patrick, Steven, and Cameron.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 12:00noon until 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
