CATHERINE LEE LAWRENCE age 87 of Smyrna, passed away peacefully in her sleep March 9, 2013. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Estelle Burgess Lee Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Lawrence who died in 1988, brother-in-law F.E. Gentry, and niece Cynthia Evelyn Lee. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Monday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna, with Reverend Gayle Watson and Reverend Angela Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Ms. Lawrence is survived by sister, Mildred Lee Gentry of Smyrna, brother John R.. and his wife Naomi Lee Jr. of Smyrna, nephew Richard and his wife Mary of New York, nieces Carol Gentry Mack and her husband Roger of Texas, Mary Lee Dunn of Smyrna, several great nieces and great nephews. Ms. Lawrence was a lifelong resident of Smyrna, growing up in the Rocky Fork area and was a member of Kedron United Methodist Church. She worked as a dental assistant for the late Dr. Morris Frank and Dr. Brian Riel. Friends and family were a beloved and passionate part of Catherine's life.
