CATHERINE JACOBS HOOVER, age 95, of Bell Buckle, died October 1, 2010. She was a native of Beechgrove, TN, and daughter of the late Herbert and Lucille Frizzell Jacobs. Mrs. Hoover was also preceded in death by her husband, the late Joel S. Hoover who died January 27, 2010. Graveside services will be Monday at 3:00 PM at the Hazel Cemetery in Bell Buckle with Rev. Everett Carroll officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Hoover is survived by sister, Lucille Jacobs Marbury of Manchester; daughter, Cherie (Joe) Poropatich of California; step daughters, Mary Elizabeth (James Howard) Lannom of Murfreesboro and Ellen Peyton Hoover Bowman of North Carolina; grandchildren, Noel Poropatich of California and James Howard Lannom III of Murfreesboro.
