L. Bradley
February 13, 1936 – November 8, 2025
Carroll "Brad" L. Bradley, of Murfreesboro, TN died at the age of 89. He was a native of Evansville, Indiana. He served his country in the USAF from 1954-58. He spent a year in the Bikini Islands where the government in top secret testing of the hydrogen bombs. He suffered health problems because of the radiation on the island; The island is still radioactive.
He received his B.S. from Oakland City College, M.A. in Biology and M.A. in school counseling from Western Kentucky University. He was a teacher and sophomore counselor at Castle High School in Newburgh, Indiana for 34 years and 3 years in other schools, He retired in 1999. He was loved and respected by students, parents, and colleagues..
He was a member of the Cason Lane Church of Christ in Murfreesboro while living in Evansville, IN was a member of the NW Church of Christ.
He was born February 13, 1936, to the late Marion and Sylvia Bradley. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Marion and Louis Bradley. Marion was a Marine Raider and died in WWII.
Brad is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Charlotte; sister-in-law, Janet Underwood and husband Jim; niece Kim Hughes and husband Richard, Nephew Mark Polk and wife Mary Elam great nieces Kendall and Bailey Hughes, great nephews Jackson and Bradley Polk and other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Brad enjoyed traveling, reading and helping others.
The family would like to thank the care givers at NHC in Franklin and Murfreesboro for the care and kindness given to Brad and the family.

Graveside service will be Saturday November 15th 12 Noon at Evergreen Cemetery in Murfreesboro. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements. www.woodfinchapel.com
