Carolyn Ann Tysor Bolick, age 70 of Smyrna TN died Sunday June 3, 2012, surrounded by family. She was a native of Sanford North Carolina and was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert Tysor, Sr., and Lessie Lee McKinney Duke, a brother; Gilbert Tysor, Jr., and sister, Frances Walden. Mrs. Bolick was a longtime resident of Calhoun County, Alabama and had worked for Wal-Mart at the Deli in Oxford. She had recently moved to Smyrna to be near her family. She is survived by her children, James Bolick, Jr., and his wife Kelly of Smyrna, Teresa Bolick of Birmingham, Alabama; granddaughter; Catheryn Bolick of Smyrna; sisters, Brenda Jones of Oxford, Alabama, Jaylene McCann and husband Robert of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Denise Duke of Fayetteville North Carolina; brother, Bill Valentine of Sanford, as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a special thanks to Chelsea Gillis Rhonda Gillis and Ashley Anderson for their friendship and special care in the last few months, and a special thanks to Stonecrest Medical center for taking excellent care of Mrs. Bolick. Funeral service will be 4:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with William Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.
