CAROLYN MANKIN STEPHENSON, age 83 of Murfreesboro, died Tuesday, January 04, 2011. She was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Rucker and Rena Elrod Mankin. She was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Bill Stephenson who died in 2005. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Wayne Lankford will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. She is survived by her son, William T. Stephenson, V of Murfreesboro, daughters, Betty Myers and her husband Michael of Franklin, Beverly Bernard and her husband Michael of Nashville, Brenda Van Cleve and her husband John of Centerville, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Stephenson was a member of East Main Street Church of Christ. Active pallbearer will be Lee and Jonathan Myers, John Bert Van Cleve, Kevin Manis, Charlie Tuberville, and Joe Mankin. Elders and deacons of East Main Street Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Stones River Manor or East Main Street Church of Christ in memory of Mrs. Stephenson.
