Carolyn Young Newbill, age 83 of Smyrna, died Thursday, September 22, 2011. She was a native of Watertown and the daughter of the late Ollie and Carrie Young Payne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William R. Newbill. Funeral service will be 10:00am Saturday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Bro. Dan Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Jerry Newbill of Hillsboro, daughters, Nancy Hughes of Covington and Janice Campbell of Nashville, six grandsons, and several great grandchildren. Mrs. Newbill was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and retired from sales in food service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Parkway Baptist Church Building Fund, 199 Enon Springs Road West # 100, Smyrna, TN 37167.
