Carolyn Virginia Hill Lester, age 63, of Murfreesboro, went to meet her Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur Straw and Virgie (Douglas) Hutson of Christiana, and her parents, W. A. Red Hill and Margaret Virginia (Hutson) Hill. She is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, Hiram W. Lester, Sr.; a son, Hiram Lester, Jr., and his wife, Kristen, of Birmingham, AL, and a daughter, Nicole Lester Russell and her husband, Joe, of Murfreesboro; brothers William Arthur Hill and his wife, Elsie, of Bell Buckle, TN, and John Allen Hill of Chester, VA; grandchildren, Blake, Victoria, and Caroline Russell of Murfreesboro. A lifelong resident of Rutherford County, Mrs. Lester was a retired hairdresser, homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, and will be missed by all. Mrs. Lester was a member of the North Boulevard Church of Christ. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 2p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Visitation with the family will be from 4p.m. until 8p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, at the chapel. The services will be conducted by Bro. Don Turskey. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Garden.
