Mary Carolyn Norris Hatcliff, age 74, of Murfreesboro, died Thursday, Dec. 13, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. A memorial service will be held Thursday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m. at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Murfreesboro. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time on Dec. 20. Ms. Hatcliff was a native of Rutherford County and the daughter of the late Charles Buddy Norris and Sarah Herrod Norris. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Betsy Hatcliff Sharley and her husband Dan of Murfreesboro, her sons, Charles Bubba Hatcliff and his wife Tina, William Patrick Hatcliff and his wife Mary of Murfreesboro, her sister, Elizabeth Charlene Norris of Murfreesboro, and beloved grandchildren, Caitlin Dennis, Parker Hatcliff, Carley Hatcliff and Easton Hatcliff, and great granddaughter, Reece Dennis. Ms. Hatcliff retired from Middle Tennessee State University. She loved her cats, cooking and caring for her children and grandchildren, and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
