Carolyn Jane Cox, age 75 of Murfreesboro, died Wednesday at NHC Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She was a native of Rutherford County and a daughter of the late Samuel and Mina Gannon Insell, Sr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Annie Ruth Insell Pittard and her husband Robert; brothers Sam Insell Jr. and his wife Fannie Ruth and Eugene Insell and his wife Martha. Mrs. Cox is survived by her children James Morris Cox and his wife Teresa of Virginia Beach, VA; Sheila Rae Cox DeBow and her husband Rick of Brandon, FL; George Michael Cox and his wife Lori of Murfreesboro and Marian Grey Ramsey and her husband Shawn of Cape Coral, FL; grandchildren Sean Michael Morris Cox and his wife Kristen and Kristin Nicole Cox all of Virginia Beach, VA, Julia Evelyn Ramsey, Christopher Grey Ramsey and Tyler Dale Ramsey all of Cape Coral, FL and Isabella Grace Cox of Murfreesboro; a great grandson Liam Morris Cox; a sister Sarah McCaslin and a brother Charles Insell and his wife Dot all of Murfreesboro. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00am until the time of the funeral services beginning at 2:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Frank Carr officiating.
