November 12, 1934 – April 1, 2025
Carolyn Dyer Butcher, faithful wife and mother, age 90 passed away peacefully on April 1, 2025, at Adams Place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Marie Dyer of Alcoa, Tennessee, a sister, June Trbovich, sons, Steven Gilbert and Eric Butcher, and a granddaughter Sarah Cannon.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years, Doyle Allen Butcher; brother Dan Dyer, son Clyde "Bud" Gilbert, Brian Butcher and wife Kathleen, Russell Butcher; daughters, Allison Dunsmuir and husband Scott, Joni Cannon and husband Roger, grandchildren, Leah Edwards and husband Kyle, Hanna Rake and husband Jeremy, Andrew Butcher, Kayla Lunn and husband Justin, Cody Butcher and fiancé Austin, Jesse Butcher, Justin Butcher and wife Kelly, Mason Dunsmuir, and Laurel Dunsmuir; great-grandchildren, Lola Sarah, Crew, Ella, Daniel, Lucas, Jamison, Logan, and Keegan; several nieces and nephews; and Bentley the golden doodle.
Carolyn grew up in Alcoa, Tennessee, graduating from Alcoa High School in 1952. She attended Maryville College; she held several secretarial positions in the Maryville area. After her marriage in 1978 she left the business world to become a homemaker, the thing she loved most. She particularly enjoyed traveling on Delta Airlines with her pilot husband, winter vacations to Hawaii and Florida and summer retreats to Gatlinburg with her family. Carolyn was known for her smile, which would never fail to light up the room wherever she was.
Carolyn was associated with World of Life Tabernacle in Johnson City, Tennessee for over 40 years, following The Message as brought by the Prophet William Branham and more recently associated with Believers Tabernacle of Murfreesboro.

Visitation will be on Saturday April 12th 1:00PM to 2:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Celebration of life service will be on Saturday April 12 2:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. www.woodfinchapel.com
