Carole "Midgie" Weatherford Anderson, age 77, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 4, 2016. A native of Gaston County, NC, she was a long-time resident of High Shoals, NC and Gastonia, NC. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, "R.C." Anderson and her parents, George Eugene and Lucille Griffin Weatherford.

A graveside service will take place Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. Dr. Charles Perry will officiate.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her son, Dru Anderson; grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Anderson all of Murfreesboro; sister, Joyce Weatherford Hovis of High Shoals, NC; nephew, Joel Hovis and his wife Lisa of Easley, SC; brother-in-law, Randall Anderson of Lincolnton, NC and nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of Lowell First Baptist Church in Lowell, NC. She was a 1957 graduate of Lincolnton High School, graduated from the Presbyterian School of Nursing, attended Gaston College, and graduated from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte where she received her Bachelor's Degree. Mrs. Anderson was a retired Nursing Supervisor with 36 years at Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, NC. Mrs. Anderson was a loving grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
