Carol Sue Rose Obney , age 56 of Smyrna, TN, passed away Saturday November 19, 2016. A native of Davidson County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Joseph James and Margaret Comelia Davis Rose. Mrs. Obney was also preceded in death by her husband, Mark Dean Obney and her brother, James Danny Rose and a sister, Sheree Rose.

Mrs. Obney is survived by her daughters, Comelia (Ian) Hinkley of Fort Worth, TX, and Gina (Maxwell Flory) McDaniel of Pahrump, NV; grandchildren, Savanna Obney, Joel Hall, Taralou Hickman, and Brendon Hinkley; brothers, John Douglas (Deborah) Rose of Hermitage, TN and Earl Eugene Rose of Murfreesboro, TN; sisters, Judy (Jack) Creviston of Mt. Juliet, TN and Sandra (Steve) Geitz of Milton, TN.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Stones River Baptist Church, 361 Sam Ridley Pkwy Smyrna, TN, with Pastor Dan Dale officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the 2:00 PM service time Tuesday at the church.

Mrs. Obney was a member of Stones River Baptist Church, and was a homemaker.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the American Heart Association in memory of Mrs. Obney.
