Carol Crouse Powell, age 84, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away June 10, 2013. A memorial service will be held Monday June 24, 2013 at 11:00AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. Eugene Cotey and Pam Pilot will officiate. Mrs. Powell is survived by her daughter Cindy Anderson and her husband Jim of Birmingham, AL; son, Crouse Powell and his wife Pam of North Potomac, MD; five grandchildren, one great grandchildren. Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her parents, O. L. Crouse and Lelia Fitt Crouse; husband, Charley Houston Powell; and a sister, Marylee Van Sickle. Mrs. Powell was born in the Blackman Community of Rutherford County, TN. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. Mrs. Powell was a graduate of MTSU where she received her Bachelor's Degree in English. She was a former secretary at Freight Line Trucking.
