Dr. Carl Linwood Pierce, age 89 was born August 18, 1926 in Albany, TX to the late Hubert V. and Ina Pierce. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, five sisters, two children, and his wife Dale Baker Pierce.

Dr. Pierce is survived by three children, Mark Pierce of Austin, TX, Daniel Pierce of Murfreesboro, TN, and Chris Pierce, of Pagosa Springs, CO; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends.

He graduated from Albany High School and served as a medic in the United States Navy. His tours of duty included World War II and Korea. Dr. Pierce graduated from San Antonio College and the Texas Chiropractic College. He practiced in Burkburnett, Texas from 1972 until his retirement in 2000.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Funeral Chapels, Murfreesboro and Smyrna.
