Calvin A. Blair, Jr., age 78, of Nashville, TN went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. A native of Frederick, Maryland he was a long-time resident of Murfreesboro, TN. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Mr. Blair is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley Goad Blair; son, Lee Blair and his wife Jennifer of Murfreesboro; daughter, Debbie Kelley and her fiancé Blake Neal of Murfreesboro; sister, Connie Ganger and her husband John of Michigan; six granddaughters, Jessica, Jasmine, Jade, Macie, Miranda and Mia; Great-granddaughters Sidney & Amy; and one nephew, Paul Ganger and his wife Robin of Michigan. Mr. Blair was of the Lutheran faith. He was a proud veteran and served in the United States Army. He was a retired Route Salesman with American Bread Company. Mr. Blair was an avid fan of American History, especially early American History. He enjoyed watching the history channel and western films. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
