Callie Jean Jones, age 83, of Smyrna, died December 15, 2014. She was a native of Rutherford Co, and daughter of the late Elzie M. and Mattie Reed Carroll. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Carroll Wrather and two brothers, Floyd and Jackson Carroll. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM at Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna with Bro. Russ King and Bro. Jerry Maxwell officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband of 63 years, Enoch Jones, Jr.; daughter, Connie Jones Matthews; son-in-law, Curtis Matthews; sisters, Josephine Neal and Modean Brewer. Mrs. Jones was a former nurse having worked in many area hospitals. She was always praised for her good work. She was a member of Gilroy Church of Christ.
