Buford Perry, age 78 of Smyrna, died Thursday at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Davidson County and a son of the late Jesse and Elizabeth Williams Perry. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Sue Perry in 2008. Mr. Perry is survived by his sons, Roger Perry and his wife Lynn and Tommy "Red" Perry all of Smyrna, and Dale Perry and his wife Julie of Murfreesboro; two brothers Roy Perry of Murfreesboro and Donnie Perry of Smyrna; two grandchildren Camaron and Madeline Perry; several nieces, nephews and other loving family. Mr. Perry was a United States Navy Veteran and the retired owner of R.T. and D. Company of Smyrna. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 3:00 until 7:00 pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Bro John Heardman will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Mapleview Cemetery.
