Buford Lee Herman, age 74 of the Link Community, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Murfreesboro, TN on May 31, 1951, and grew up in the Halls Hill Community. He graduated from Lascassas High School in 1969.

Buford was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Herman, Sr., and Maggie Herman; siblings, Elmer Herman, Jr., Virginia Herman, Patricia (Mylan) Mathis; and his grandson, Cameron James Levi Herman.

Buford is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Gloria Jean Lester Herman; sons, Buford Lynn (Renee) Herman, Leslie (Tonya) Herman; and grandchildren, Buford Lane, Candace Michelle, and Miranda Lynn Herman; sisters-in-law, Darnell Herman and Becky Lester; and a brother-in-law, James Lester, Jr. He was also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was a loving husband, father, and grandpa.

Buford was Owner and Co-Founder of L & H Disposal.

A memorial gathering and visitation will be held Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
