Obituary

RAYMOND BROOKS JARRELL, age 71 went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday December 30, 2010 surrounded by his family at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was born November 21, 1939 to Raymond F. Jarrell and Lois Gupton Jarrell who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Judith Neal. He is survived by his wife, Greta Hale Jarrell, his son, Kip Jarrell and his daughters, Tonya and her husband Terry Roden and Briley Kay Jarrell; grandchildren, Chase Roden, Austin Roden, Nikki and her husband Adam Davis; brothers, Ralph and his wife Mona Jarrell of Springfield, Jimmy and his wife Patsy Jarrell of Murfreesboro, Ernest Tubb and his wife Brenda Jarrell of Clarksville. Children and grandchildren of heart, Pam Thompson, and Randy and his wife Vada Troutt, Shane Thompson, Ryne Thompson, Cory Troutt, Sheena Tignor, and Brandy and her husband Brent Tignor; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Brook's will be remembered as a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a avid Car Salesman, and better known as the Deal Making Man . He began his career at Jenkins and Wynne in Clarksville as the first used car manager. He also managed Crown Ford and Preston Lincoln Mercury both in Nashville before going to Murfreesboro and owning his own dealership, University Ford Lincoln Mercury. After retiring he owned Specialty Auto in Murfreesboro, and Clarksville Auto Auction. Brookss favorite hobbies were Blue Raider Athletics, for which he was a member for over 30 years, horseback and trail riding. He was a joint owner of the Buffalo Trail Ride in Waynesboro TN. He was also associated with a special group of men, called the Walking Eagles Coffee Club at Reeves-Sain in Murfreesboro. He was a member of the Rutherford County Sportsman Club, and Walter Hill Country Club. He was former director of First Tennessee Bank, and former member of Rotary Club. In Lieu flowers donations may be made in memory of Brooks to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank all the loving friends for their support and the doctors and nurses for their care during his illness at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Visitation will be held Saturday Jan 1, from 5:00PM to 9:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral will be Sunday Jan 2 at 2:00PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Nathan Hale and Rev. Thad Austin offciating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Walking Eagles Coffee Club.
