Brian Raymond Shuler, age 37 of Smyrna died Sunday. He was a native of Rutherford County, and preceded in death by mother, Diane Meade Barrett. Mr. Shuler was Baptist and had worked as a Correction Officer at CCA Metro. He is survived by his father, Vance Shuler and wife Melinda of N.C.; sisters, Tinna Prater of Rockvale, Shirley Akins of Smyrna, Lisa Davenport and husband Eddie of Milton, Stephanie Shuler, and her fiancé Brian Bell of Smyrna; brother, Ricky Shuler of Murfreesboro, and several nieces and nephews.
