Mr. Brian Overstreet, age 43, of Smyrna, TN passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born in Nashville, TN to Raymond and Gwen Overstreet. Brian was a graduate of Smyrna High School and was a painter. He enjoyed fishing and playing guitar.

Brian is survived by his mother, Gwen Overstreet; son, Josh Batey both of Smyrna; half-sisters, Lynn Howell and her husband Steve of Smyrna, Ruby Jean Aguilar of Houston, TX, and Mona Overstreet of Nashville, TN; among his nieces and nephews were special niece and nephew, Mary Gwen and James; and dog, Emily. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Overstreet; half-sister, Pamela Langley; and half-brother, Lou Langley.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 1:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will take place on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 3:00pm in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, 124 Sullivan Bend Rd, Elmwood, TN 38560.
