BRANTLEY LEWIS HUMPHREYS, JR, age 87, of Murfreesboro, died Sunday, June 28, 2009. He was a native of Worth County, GA and the son of the late Brantley Lewis, Sr. and Agnes Johnson Humphreys. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Wednesday at Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Home in Albany GA. Raymond Climer will officiate. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Albany, GA. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Lou DuBose Humphreys, daughters and sons-in-law, Glenda and Frank Victory of Murfreesboro, Ann and Paul Pope of Suwanee, GA, son and daughter-in law, David Lewis and Melanie Humphreys of Columbus, GA, sisters, Claudia McCorkle of Jacksonville, FL, Alethia Brown of Albany, GA, 8 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Mr. Humphreys was a member of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ and a Construction Engineer before his retirement. He served his country in the US Army. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
