Bradford Earl Roberts, Jr., passed away January 24, 2018.  He was a native of Murfreesboro, and son of the late Bradford Earl, Sr. and Annie Byrn Roberts.  A memorial service will be held Saturday January 27, 2018 at 12 Noon at Calvary Baptist Church, 431 DeJarnette Ln., with Dr. Mark Gregory officiating.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Linda Roberts; daughters, Andrea (Ken) Norberg, and Malinda Roberts Perdzock; granddaughter, Kendra Norberg; sister, Anne Byrn Roberts; brother, Jim Rich (Carty) Roberts; special friend, Stoney Johnson, and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Roberts was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he was a youth Sunday School teacher.  He was the former president of Southern States Electric Company.  He was a 1951 graduate of Murfreesboro Central High School where he played football and basketball and attended Sewanee, where he played basketball,  MTSU, and Vanderbilt.   He was on the Board of Directors at First Tennessee Bank and was on the Rutherford County Industrial Board.

Mr. Roberts was the founder of junior pro basketball in Murfreesboro and coached girls softball and basketball for many years.   He was a camper and counselor at Camp Ocoee in Cleveland, TN for many years.   He was also the timekeeper for MTSU football games for decades.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church Children's Ministries or the Boys and Girls Club of Murfreesboro.
