Mr. Bounmy Thammovong, age 81, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019. He was born in Laos to the late Linh and Va Thammovong. Mr. Thammovong was a soldier in Laos who fought in the Vietnam War. He immigrated to the United States in the late 1980's and worked as a welder for Allvan. Mr. Thammovong attended Wat Lao Temple.

Mr. Thammovong is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nouanchanh Thammovong; children, Boualay Thammovong of Murfreesboro, Thongsay Whittington and her husband Jeff of Lebanon, TN, and Khambay Thammovong and his fiancée JoAn Sensombath of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Brandon Perry, Jordan Kelley, Jaylin Thammovong, and Alani Sensombath; and three sisters in Laos.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, September 24, 2019 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 1:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
