Bonnie Jarrell Bennett, 71, of Murfreesboro, passed away Wednesday morning, September 17, 2014, at her home following a brave battle with cancer. She was born in Montgomery County, Virginia, on November 25, 1942, to George Edward "Ed" and Lillian Icy Jarrell. A memorial service will be held at Woodfin Memorial Chapel on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 11:00AM. Pastor Brady Cooper will officiate. Mrs. Bennett is survived by her husband of almost 50 years, Donald Bennett of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Vanessa Schoen and her husband Dennis of Texarkana, Arkansas, and Susan Allison and her husband James of Murfreesboro; three grandchildren, Sydney and Cullen Schoen of Texarkana, AR, and Sophie Allison of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Conelia Sifford and her husband Bobby of Blacksburg, Virginia, and Janice Rudacille and her husband Emerson of Front Royal, VA; two brothers, Delmon Jarrell and his wife Susie and Larry Jarrell and his wife Nancy, all of Christiansburg, VA. Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her mother and father, Icy and Ed Jarrell; and one sister Peggy Sifford. Mrs. Bennett was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed football and baseball. Mrs. Bennett loved to read and was the anchor of her family. She loved her family and especially she cherished her grandchildren.
