Bobby Phelps

Mr. Bobby Dean Phelps, age 56, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Thursday, July 23, 2026 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Nashville, TN to Jack and Louisa Lafever Phelps. Bobby was a 1987 graduate of Antioch High School. He was a fountain tech/survey specialist for Coca-Cola. Bobby also worked with his father and sons at JBM Sound doing live music events throughout Middle Tennessee. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass and gospel music. Bobby loved spending time at the beach with his family, flying his drone, as well as hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was a member of New Vision Baptist Church.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 31 years, Christie Pippin Phelps; mother, Louisa Phelps; sons, Austin Phelps and his wife Valerie and Alex Phelps; granddaughter, Lois; and Nana, Juanita Leonard. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Phelps, and grandparents, Verble and Lula Lafever, Oval Phelps, and Ruth Phelps.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, July 25, 2026 from 3:00pm until 7:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 26, 2026 at 4:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Republican Grove Cemetery.
