Mr. Bobby Joe Holloway, age 69 left his earth suite to be with The Lord Saturday, January 11, 2020. He passed away at his home in Smyrna, TN from complications due to bladder cancer. Born October 6, 1950 at Barksdale Airforce Base in Bossier City, LA. He is the son of the late Staff Stg. Fred Holloway and Evelyn Adams Dees. He was also preceded in death by a son, David Holloway; step father, George Dees; brother, Sam Holloway; sister, Ruby Owens and brother in love, Butch Owens; mother in love, Ann Wilson and father in love, Jerry Wilson; and brother in love, David Barnhill.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Holloway; son Jeremy Holloway and daughter in love Lisa; daughter, Erin Holloway; grandchildren, Jonathan and Carson Holloway; and many other family and friends.

Bobby left a trail of Joy everywhere he went making people laugh. He always said laughing was the medicine to the soul. He loved Jesus and was passionate about sharing the gospel with everyone he encountered. He was a talented musician who in his younger years had his own band with his brother.  He played the acoustic guitar, harmonica often at the same time, mandolin, fiddle and sang. He lived his later years in the worship group at Bossier City church of God and Creekmont Baptist Church doing what he loved.  He spent a lot of his time fishing, gardening and feeding the birds including the turkeys. He always stayed busy outside tinkering around (as he would say).  He will be greatly missed by all who got the chance to know him.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Creekmont Baptist Church from 11:00-1:00 PM with a memorial service following at 1:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Woodfin Memorial Chapel. 615-893-5151.
