William Robert "Bobby" Hays, age 83 of the Leanna Community, died Wednesday, January 23, 2019. He was a native of Rutherford County and a son of the late William Reece Hays and Margreete Brandon Hays.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Marie Hays; a daughter, Linda Gordon and husband Al; a son, Tom Hays and wife Debbie, and a brother, Ed Hays, all of Murfreesboro; five grandchildren and one great grandchild as well as a host of other loving family and friends.

Mr. Hays was a member of Northside Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, retired as an engineer from AT&T, and was an avid Civil War collector and dealer.

Visitation will be Friday, January 25, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral services beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Northside Baptist Church, 655 W. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro. Pastor David Bramble will officiate, and burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
