Bobby Joe Haynes, age 77 of Murfreesboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, October 9, 2013. A native of Bedford County, he was the son of the late Vernon and Ophelia Cunningham Haynes. He was also preceded in death by his sister; Virginia Miller, and his brother; James V. Haynes. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Brother Nickey Nichols officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Haynes is survived by his wife of 56 years; Bettye Upchurch Haynes, daughter; Jennifer Griffith and her husband James of Murfreesboro, one grand-daughter; Krislee Griffith, half-sister Kathy Leone of Florida, two half-brothers; Tim Haynes, Mark Haynes, special niece; Sandra Elgin Maxwell, special nephew; Terry J. Haynes, and their mother; Louise Howard all of Murfreesboro, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Haynes was a member of Bethlehem Church of Christ and was retired from the Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department. Visitation will be 2:00 until 6:00pm Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
