Bobby James Copass, Sr., age  80 of Mt. Juliet, TN, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2022. A native of Clay County, TN, he was the son of the late Hulen Cecil Copass, Sr. and Imogene York Copass. Mr. Copass was also preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years, Debra Kaye Ewing Copass; brother, Hulen Cecil Copass, Jr.; sisters, Vicki Ellen Adams, Theresa Bokanizad, and Priscilla White.

Mr. Copass is survived by his daughters, Lauralynn Copass Lifferth and her husband Jon, and Sarah Kaye Copass Williams and her husband Kyle all of Mt. Juliet, TN, Karie Dianne Copass Whitaker and her husband Nathan of Nolensville, TN, Tina Miller of Arizona and Ledena Lea Survant of Columbia, TN; a son, Bobby James Copass, Jr. of Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Ethan Copass, Ellie Grace Lifferth, Carson Emil Lifferth, Kayelie Copass Anguiano, Kylie Mae Williams, Kinlie Rae Williams, Aden James Whitaker, Alex Dean Whitaker, Aston Reid Whitaker, Derek Miller, Joshua Kowalski, Jeremy Kowalski, Shantel Love, Genna Survant, Nessa Survant, Amy Copass, Angel Copass, and Sabrina Copass Brown; several great grandchildren; sisters, Clarice Smith of Huntsville, AL, his older twin sister, Robbie Janice Kennedy of Whitleyville, TN, and Linda Pugh of Lafayette, TN.

Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 316 Mayfield Drive Smyrna, TN 37167, with Brother Neal Tipps officiating. Burial will follow in Map le view Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Copass was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, a farmer, and the former owner and operator of Copass Radiator in LaVergne, TN.
