BOBBY LEE BRUMFIELD age 80, of Lavergne,TN, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday October 26, 2010 after a two and a half year courageous battle with leukemia. A native of Stollings, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson Brumfield and Lura Frye Brumfield Gullett. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Joe Brumfield. Mr. Brumfield is survived by a daughter, Cynthia (Roy) Brumfield Gossett; son, Bobby Lee (Ellen) Brumfield, Jr. all of Smyrna, TN; granddaughters, Lisa (Ben) Castleman of Murfreesboro, TN, Selena (James) Scott of Smyrna, TN; grandsons, Tommy and Zander Castleman of Smyrna, TN, Bryan Gossett of Smyrna, TN, Troy (Marcy) Gossett of Milton, TN; sisters, Lassie (David) Jones of North Carolina, Marsha Kitchen of Virginia; brothers, Charles (June) Brumfield of West Virginia, and Adam (Terry) Brumfield of North Carolina. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna, with Rev. Carl Scarlett officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. Mr. Brumfield was a Baptist, a retired Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He was a decorated veteran and served in Korea and two tours of duties in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. Pallbearers will be David Tucker, Stephen Russell, Wayne Gossett, Brian Neal, Ben Castleman, and Tom Harmon.
