Billy Gene McCormick, age 74 of LaVergne died Wednesday. He was a native of South Carolina and was retired from the Co-op in LaVergne. Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by his wife Sally McCormick. He is survived by his children, Ricky McCormick and wife Diana, Walter McCormick and wife Melody , Christa Nichols and husband James all of LaVergne; twelve grandchildren and three sisters, Patricia, Alice, and Mary Lou. Celebration of Mr. McCormick's life will be 2PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.
